Thoubal district hospital staff condemn ‘life attempt’ on doctors #ManipurNewsUpdate IMPHAL | Jul 31 : The staff of Thoubal district hospital today organised a sit-in-protest today at the gate of directorate of health services, Lamphelpat condemning the ‘life attempt life on doctors on duty’ and destruction of hospital asset. While briefing media persons, an agitating staff nurse, Leishangthem Angoubi stated that on July 28, a child rescued from drowning was admitted to hospital. The doctors tried to save the rescued child with their best effort but unfortunately succumbed on that day itself and discharged from the hospital, she added. She continued that the patient family brought back the deceased child to the hospital in the evening and claimed that ‘the child was still alive’, however the claim was totally wrong when the health professional checked it. *Manipur Expands Security at Borders Post NRC Draft Release.*                                                 Manipur Government has stepped up efforts to prevent a possible influx of illegal migrants into the border State in view of the publication of the final draft of ‘National Register of Citizens (NRC)’ in neighbouring Assam. State Chief Minister N Biren Singh speaking to a local TV channel in Imphal on Monday said that necessary steps have been taken by deploying extra security men at Jiribam area bordering Assam’s Cachar district. He also informed that similar steps have been taken at border areas of Tamenglong and Mao gate area. The security men guarding the entry points to Manipur particularly Jiribam and Mao gate, are monitoring the movement of illegal migrants. Cappadocia is one of the world's most active hot air ballon hubs. A number of ambulances and rescue teams were dispatched to the scene after the accident. 41 forces' #personnel killed, 907 injured in #Kashmir #violence this year  As many as 41 security personnel, including 20 policemen, were killed and 907 others injured in militancy-related and stone-pelting incidents in Kashmir valley this year, officials said today. Giving details, the officials said 39 security personnel, including 17 Army personnel, 20 policemen and two CRPF personnel, were killed and 96 others injured in militancy-related incidents in first six months of this year. Of these, 28 Army personnel, 31 CRPF personnel and 37 policemen were injured in militancy-related incidents, they said. In stone-pelting incidents, two CRPF personnel were killed and 811 others injured during the same period, the officials said. Of these, 592 policemen and 219 CRPF personnel were injured in 734 incidents of stone-pelting in the valley, they said. According to the officials, 32 civilians were killed and 117 others injured in militancy-related and stone-pelting incidents
