*Woman Dumped on Highway After Gang Rape in Moving Car*
In an incident similar to the Damini case, a woman from Lanka, Assam was gang-raped in a moving car by four men. The woman was on her way to Golaghat from Lanka with her boyfriend on a motorcycle. An Alto car with four men reportedly intercepted them on the way near Nagaon and forced the woman into the vehicle. The fainted body of the victim was later dumped on the National Highway (NH)-37. A truck driver of an oil tanker rescued the woman from the highway and reported the incident to the Jakhalabandha police. The woman is undergoing treatment at the Nagaon Civil Hospital for trauma and severe injuries in her private parts. The victim is a resident of Lanka and was working in a local dhaba.
