At the outset, the UPF and KNO express our heartfelt gratitude to all respectable
person who participate in the Public Consultative Meeting held on 18th April, 2018 at YPA Hall, Hiangtam Lamka. The meeting was attended by representatives from the various Innpis. Chiefs. Tribe Councils, Church Leaders. Intellectuals, Civil Society Organisations, Student Organisations, Social workers, Human Right activist and elected leaders from Sadar Hills, Chandel, Tengnoupal, Churachandpur and Pherzawl Districts in addition to the leaders of both UPF and KNO The UPF and KNO leaders highlights the progress of the on-going Tripartite Political dialogue and thanked the public for their continued support towards achieving a durable political solution. They also acknowledge the Almighty God's guidance in our struggle for political survival It is worth mentioning that, there was a healthy exchange of views and ideas on the issue of identity, political demand and the way forward in regard to our demand There were also encouraging wishes from concern intellectuals and some organisations from our brethren in neighboring States.

The participant expresses their appreciation on the Common Political Agenda of UPF and KNO and assured their unequivocal support in our demand. On the issue of identity, the meeting re-assured the fact that we belong to the same people, although we may be called by different names by different people. It is also observed that the idea of a common nomenclature is a sensitive issue which will evolve in due course of time and conclusive decision cannot be taken in a hurry. This call for a continued discussion among the Kuki/Zo people.

We once again express our sincere appreciation to all participants of the Consultative Meeting May God be with us in our endeavor.
